The HT Redcore edge-closing paper from Schümann is the innovative connecting element for the fully-automatic mass production of the latest rigid setup boxes. The Heat Seal Stay Tape, with its standard centre pre-folding, enables the highly efficient bonding and stabilisation of the edges of cartons and rigid boxes, and guarantees the high quality of the adhesive connections. HT Redcore is available in different lengths, widths and weights of paper (grammages), in the colours of brown and white, and in both unreinforced and reinforced versions.

As a highly specialised connecting product made from special paper, the HT Redcore edge-closing paper from Schümann makes a decisive contribution to the processing safety of the fully automatic production of decorative rigid setup boxes which are used as the primary form of packaging for cosmetics, toys, jewellery, food (sweets) and tobacco products. The quality characteristics of the edge-zone tapes from Schümann include their prefabricated centre-folding. This attribute ensures that the HT Redcore from Schümann fits quickly and accurately both into or on the corners of the rigid setup boxes during their production, where it is able to unfurl its bonding and sealing effect. The bonding effect of its hot seal coating takes effect rapidly after it has been applied, ensuring a secure and durable connection.

For multi-level bonding and folding processes

The HT Redcore edge-closing paper from Schümann is designed for use in the fully automated, multi-stage and three dimensional folding and bonding processes during the industrial production of rigid setup boxes and their lids. The preconfigured centre-folding of the edge-closing paper strip from Schümann is especially relevant to multi-stage systems which do not feature an integrated device for the automatic folding of the paper strips for the closing and bonding of the edges and corners of the packaging. Another plus point of the HT Redcore edge-closing paper from Schümann is that it can be applied to both the interior and exterior sides of the edges of rigid setup boxes and their lids.

The pre-folded HT Redcore edge-closing paper from Schümann is available on ready-to-use rolls including a sleeve, or wound on a core-free basis, in lengths of 100- to almost 800 metres. A choice of brown and white versions is available in different grammages and in widths of 19 mm and 23 mm. In addition to unreinforced versions, a strengthened, reinforced HT Redcore is also available. The edge-closing paper from Schümann also complies with the guidelines of the FDA, it can be recycled together with the used cartons, and finds international use.
